Examples of Engineer positions at Disneyland Paris

Methods Engineer

Description: You will design, optimize and organize methodologies to improve the quality, cost and timeliness of relevant technical services. As a first step, you will be tasked with improving the flow of supplies and generally managing the logistics of our warehouses.

Profile: Ideally you have a Master’s in Maintenance Engineering or industrial engineering, and proven experience in logistics and at least 2 to 5 years’ experience in a similar function. A grasp of technical English, and CMMS, planning, EDM, and Office software (plus a minimum authorization for electrical risk work).


Telecom Network Engineer

Description: Reporting to the Head of the Network Group and to the Telecom and Network Manager, you will have two main functions: Supporting and implementing the management of a multi-service MAN network carrying voice, data and images; and actively participating in the maintenance, support and restrictions of the Disneyland Paris IT and telecoms network in a group of seven people playing a vital role for all 24/7 applications. You will have strong skills in managing a switched and routed Ethernet LAN and a good grasp of wireless networks (WLAN) and Voice over IP (VoIP). You will also assist directly in installation, implementation and project activities.

Profile: With a Master’s in IT, you have at least four years’ recent experience in CISCO networking (ideally with a Cisco certification CCNP, Routing and Switching level). Knowledge of Firewalls and Security Check Point Probes is a real advantage for this job. You are demanding, attach importance to teamwork, and have a good knowledge of English and an EU category N driving license.


Computer Systems Engineer

Description: Reporting to the Group Head Engineer of the production department, you will work in the engineering team in charge of Unix servers. You will operate in a varied environment (system, database, middleware) that is scalable and multi-platform (AIX, Linux, Solaris).

Profile: With a Master’s in computer science (or equivalent) and at least five years’ professional experience, you are skilled in the following: administrating IBM AIX (5.3) systems, administrating Oracle databases (10g or + if possible), administrating SAP Basis Components, IBM/AIX (HMC, VIOS) virtualization, and scripting (shell, Perl). You also have a basic understanding of LAN/SANs and a functional grasp of SAP BI 7.0, ECC6, Enterprise Portal 7.0 and Solution Manager. You are resourceful, painstaking and committed, and used to teamwork in a dynamic international environment. Fluent English is required for this position.


Mechanical Engineer

Mission: Working in the Attractions Mechanical Design Office, you will be responsible for examining changes and improvements to mechanical systems you are entrusted with. Your role is to design various mechanisms and carry out their implementation on the ground, keep attraction documentation up to date, and ensure that your work is communicated to partner departments. You act as the key technical contact person for the equipment you have been assigned.

Profile: You have a Master’s from an engineering school with at least five years’ experience as an engineer in an environment such as railways, aviation, or special machinery. You have a good level of English for interacting with our American counterparts on various technical subjects, and knowledge of 3D CAD (Solidworks) in RDM and servo-controls. You know how to write summary reports, and risk and FMEA analyses. Your sense of team spirit, dialogue, and initiative-taking, together with a capacity to analyze and synthesize and take decisions quickly and accurately will be a net advantage.

In the engineering field we offer internships (a minimum of 6 months), and apprenticeships (a minimum of 12 months).

Trainee/Apprentice in Industrial Engineering

Mission: Working in the Industrial Engineering department, you will be responsible for producing appropriate, reliable, accurate and high-quality analyses for operational management so as to facilitate the taking of certain strategic decisions. You provide recommendations to continuously improve business performance in terms of visitors, employees, and outcomes. You apply the well-known methods, approaches and tools in the field of industrial engineering, and draft and present analysis reports highlighting recommendations for continuous improvement. You will organize and lead a small team of data collectors as needed.

Profile: Ideally you will be in the final year of an industrial engineering degree in an engineering school. In your previous training, you were able to demonstrate your expertise in project management and in written and spoken communication for dealing effectively with a lay audience. You speak English and French and have a good knowledge of MS Office (advanced Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).

Your capacity for thoroughness, adaptability, sense of organization, resourcefulness, analysis and synthesis, and proactive thinking will be a net advantage.
